2023 Performance Improvement Conference by the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI)
The conference session aims to raise awareness of the dependence on human performance for connectedness in the academic community. Today, more people are feeling isolated. According to the Loneliness and the Workplace 2020 report, three in five Americans (61%) classify as lonely, and the global average, according to research by Statista in 2021, was 37% who reported hardly ever or never feeling lonely. The connectedness to feel not lonely is concerning and may impact performance as a professor or a student.
